5 Ways to Have Fun at Home
I’m bored! Most of us have been hearing that a lot lately. Usually, I would respond, “get something done around the house.” It is different now as many are working from home and self isolating. On the positive side, there is a great opportunity to have fun and make memories. Today I say, “find something fun to do.” This requires some imagination for sure. Try Glamping
With many parks and campsites closed, try glamping. It is camping, however with more conveniences that you will appreciate. Setup a tent in your backyard. You can make hot dogs and roast marshmallows. Not to mention, you have a nice restroom and a shower close by. Without a doubt, this will be a hit with the little ones. In fact, they will never forget it.
Have Fun at Home BBQ
We live in Texas so I have to add barbecue to the list. Have a BBQ and have fun at home. You can grill your favorites outside. Sit out and enjoy the meal under the Texas skies. Tell stories and enjoy good old conversation. Put your phones away and get back to basics. Ghost stories are a bit hit too at dark. The night will approach fast and you will wonder where the time went. In reality, you may find that time stands still and there is nothing wrong with that.
Have a Spa Date
Ok, this next suggestion is teetering more on the relaxation side. I will add it anyway because you can make it fun with music. Plan a time where you can create a spa experience. You can do manicures, facials and even pedicures. A bubble bath is also a lovely idea. Whether or not you have items and products for all stations, you can still manage with what you already have. Schedule this date so each person in your family can enjoy a different service and rotate the process.
Game Night
By game night, I mean board games. Prepare for a game night and have fun at home. They are an awesome way to have fun while at home. There are plenty of options to choose from. My favorites are Pictionary and Scrabble. If you do not have any at home, plan ahead. You can find gently used games online and can have them shipped to your home in no time. Best of all, board games allow you the ability to interact with your family. In reality, family Interaction is priority. You definitely will not go wrong or will be bored while playing board games.
Have Fun at Home Dress Up
Many of us have played dress up as a kid. A lot of us now have nowhere to go. It is always nice to take care of ourselves and look good. Take time to pick out a nice outfit and take your time to get ready. Groom yourself, and sit down to some takeout or a nice meal previously prepared. Giving everyone involved much needed time to themselves. You will get a good felling to be well dressed and to see others the same way. It truly breaks up the monotony of the everyday lounge clothing, especially if you have been working from home.
Have Fun at Home Conclusion
In conclusion, you cannot stay bored if you try at least one idea from the list. You can even try 2 at a time. I know you all are very creative and love to have fun.
